Taking The First Step

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) CEO Roundtable and Elevator Pitch Competition marked the first time Aroma Rest™ was presented publicly. While the business was still in its early stages of development, the event provided us with an opportunity to share our idea, practice public speaking, and begin introducing Aroma Rest™ to members of the business community.

During the competition, we delivered a short elevator pitch explaining the inspiration behind Aroma Rest™ and the problem we hoped to solve. We introduced our vision for a cooling weighted blanket with customizable aromatherapy scent inserts designed to help people relax, reduce stress, and improve sleep quality. Although the concept was still evolving, the experience allowed us to communicate the core purpose behind the product and receive valuable feedback from experienced professionals.

Preparing for the event required us to clearly define our business idea and communicate it in a concise and engaging way. We spent time refining our message, identifying our target audience, and learning how to present confidently in front of an audience. These skills would later become essential as Aroma Rest™ continued to grow and participate in larger competitions and business events.

The CEO Roundtable and Elevator Pitch Competition served as an important foundation for our entrepreneurial journey. It challenged us to step outside our comfort zones, share our vision with others, and begin building confidence as young entrepreneurs. Looking back, this event represents the first major step in transforming Aroma Rest™ from an idea into a business.

While many exciting milestones would follow, including business expos, pitch competitions, and investor presentations, this event will always hold a special place in our journey because it was where Aroma Rest™ first found its voice.
