The Boca Chamber Spring Business Expo gave Aroma Rest the opportunity to introduce our weighted blankets and customizable scent inserts to the South Florida community. The event allowed us to connect with local business leaders, gather valuable feedback, and share our vision for better sleep and relaxation.

The Boca Chamber Spring 2026 Business Expo provided Aroma Rest™ with an incredible opportunity to engage directly with members of the South Florida business community and introduce our product to a wider audience. As one of more than 30 exhibitors participating in the event, we were able to showcase our cooling weighted blanket and customizable aromatherapy scent inserts while sharing the story behind the company.
Preparing for the expo involved much more than simply setting up a booth. We spent time refining our display, creating informational materials, organizing product demonstrations, and developing ways for visitors to interact with the product firsthand. Our goal was to create an experience that allowed attendees to understand not only what Aroma Rest™ is, but also the problem it was designed to solve.
Throughout the evening, we had the opportunity to speak with business professionals, entrepreneurs, community members, and potential customers. Many visitors stopped by to learn more about the science behind weighted blankets, explore our scent pod options, and discuss how relaxation and sleep quality impact overall well-being. These conversations provided valuable insights into consumer preferences and allowed us to receive direct feedback on both the product and the business concept.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the expo was seeing genuine interest in Aroma Rest™ from people of all backgrounds. Attendees asked thoughtful questions, shared personal experiences related to stress and sleep, and offered ideas that will help shape the future development of the company. The event also allowed us to expand our professional network and build meaningful connections with local business leaders and fellow entrepreneurs.

What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a business concept backed by research, customer feedback, and investor support. Through pitch competitions and presentations, we transformed Aroma Rest from a concept into a funded venture focused on improving wellness and sleep.

The Boca Chamber YEA! Investor Pitch Competition marked one of the most significant milestones in the development of Aroma Rest™. After months of research, planning, product development, and preparation through the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) program, we had the opportunity to present our business to a panel of investors, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
Throughout the YEA! program, we worked to transform Aroma Rest™ from an initial idea into a fully developed business. We conducted market research, refined our product design, explored manufacturing options, developed financial projections, and built a comprehensive business plan. As the competition approached, we spent countless hours preparing our presentation and ensuring we could clearly communicate our vision, mission, and long-term goals.
During the Investor Pitch Competition, we presented Aroma Rest™ and explained how our cooling weighted blanket and customizable aromatherapy scent inserts work together to create a unique relaxation experience. We discussed the inspiration behind the product, the challenges we set out to solve, and how Aroma Rest™ can help individuals reduce stress, improve relaxation, and build healthier sleep habits. We also answered questions from the judges regarding product development, marketing, operations, and future growth opportunities.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the competition was the opportunity to receive feedback from experienced business professionals. Their questions and insights challenged us to think critically about every aspect of our company and provided valuable guidance as we continue to grow Aroma Rest™.
We are incredibly proud to have been selected as the winning business of the competition and to have received funding to support the continued development of Aroma Rest™. This achievement validated the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that went into building our business and reinforced our belief in the product's potential.
Beyond the funding itself, the competition provided us with invaluable experience in public speaking, entrepreneurship, and professional networking. It allowed us to connect with investors, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs while gaining a deeper understanding of what it takes to transform an idea into a successful business.

Taking The First Step
Every business begins somewhere. From identifying a common problem to developing our first prototype, the early stages of Aroma Rest taught us the importance of persistence, creativity, and believing in an idea before anyone else does.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) CEO Roundtable and Elevator Pitch Competition marked the first time Aroma Rest™ was presented publicly. While the business was still in its early stages of development, the event provided us with an opportunity to share our idea, practice public speaking, and begin introducing Aroma Rest™ to members of the business community.
During the competition, we delivered a short elevator pitch explaining the inspiration behind Aroma Rest™ and the problem we hoped to solve. We introduced our vision for a cooling weighted blanket with customizable aromatherapy scent inserts designed to help people relax, reduce stress, and improve sleep quality. Although the concept was still evolving, the experience allowed us to communicate the core purpose behind the product and receive valuable feedback from experienced professionals.
Preparing for the event required us to clearly define our business idea and communicate it in a concise and engaging way. We spent time refining our message, identifying our target audience, and learning how to present confidently in front of an audience. These skills would later become essential as Aroma Rest™ continued to grow and participate in larger competitions and business events.
The CEO Roundtable and Elevator Pitch Competition served as an important foundation for our entrepreneurial journey. It challenged us to step outside our comfort zones, share our vision with others, and begin building confidence as young entrepreneurs. Looking back, this event represents the first major step in transforming Aroma Rest™ from an idea into a business.
While many exciting milestones would follow, including business expos, pitch competitions, and investor presentations, this event will always hold a special place in our journey because it was where Aroma Rest™ first found its voice.
